New Obsession: Bald Eagles?

Finn and I (well, mainly me!) have been obsessed with watching this:

My mom sent the link from Tulsa's news. So far, we've seen three eggs, then one baby hatched, the father bringing fish to the nest. And now they are building the nest up probably to protect the little ones when they are up and about. So beautiful to watch!
I didn't think it would effect me the way that it has. I wonder if it would have been so profound to me before having kids. Regardless, it's something to watch if you have a moment.

9 months

T is 9 months today. He was born on Friday 13th in June....and today is another Friday 13th. I'm not superstitious or anything, but what does that mean? Here are some things about T:

He must be just about the sweetest baby I've ever known. I think he will be the peacemaker of the family by nature, although we all strive to become more that way. I just think he is gonna' make all three of us better people.

The kid loves food! He must be a Weinheimer! He even enjoys chopped parsley, beets, spinach and tahini. I think he has a taste for good food for sure. The only thing he's ever turned his nose up to so far is dessicated liver (don't ask.)

Anyway, I'm in love with him, pretty much!

Joshua Tree

Joshua Tree

We spent the weekend in Joshua Tree with our good friends Gerry and Jen, and their daughter Avery. Delicious food, beer and hikes were had by all. (well, only 3 of us enjoyed the brews).

Salton Sea & Salvation Mountain

We spent the weekend camping with dear friends at Mecca Beach, CA. Salvation Mountain was the perfect place to begin the lent season. Remember to keep it simple. GOD is LOVE.
